• 12 medium fresh strawberries sliced
• 8 ounces very soft butter 2 sticks
• 1 cup granulated sugar
• 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
• ½ teaspoon salt
• 1 ¾ cups all-purpose flour
• ¾ cup almond flour see notes above
• ¾ cup strawberry jam

For the lemon glaze:

• 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice probably a bit more
• ½ cup powdered sugar
